Early Life & Career

Lennox Raimona Kirikau-Dennis was born in Papakura, New Zealand on August 24th 2000. At age 5, his parents notice he was diagnosed with borderline autism. When he was a kid, he used to always get bullied by different people during school and lack communicating and making eye contact with people. Him and his family would always move houses while staying Papakura in 2006 and went to live in Taupo to stay with his grandparents. Also, in 2008, they lived in Waikaretu, located in the countryside. His parents often got into a lot of arguments in the house, his father often become abusive towards him, his brother and his mother after finishing work. Vic attended Waikaretu Primary School, where he first began his music career where he was inspired by children's poetry, going to English class and reading the Oxford Dictionary in his own time. He had a huge interest in hip-hop and rap music when he heard Run DMC, Tupac, Ice Cube and The Notorious B.I.G as a kid. When he became a teenager, he started listening and became influenced to other rappers such as Big L, Nas, Inspectah Deck, Rakim, Kool G Rap, etc. Him and the family left Waikaretu in 2011 and moved back to Taupo to live with his grandparents again, attending Mountview Primary again until he finished graduating in 2013, where he also participated in AIMS games. Vic later attended Taupo Nui-A-Tia College but continued getting bullied alot by different students and spent most of his time alone. Vic began performing shows infront of his school from 2015 to 2017. Problems started getting worse when his grandmother kicked his father out of the house for his drug addiction. Vic dropped out of college in July 2018 and started taking his music career seriously. He started making demo tapes after dropping out but took a break due to lack of support and no music scene happening in Taupo. In 2020, he started making homemade demo's under his stage name "Vic Vega". He later joined a music course in Rotorua the year 2021 at around February and performed in bands, also getting to meet a well respected tutor and musician Ben Wilcock and met a controversial rapper Temm Dogg, who gained a huge cult following for his music around NZ. He performed an original rap song at the Toi Ohomai Amphitheater infront of heaps of people and after the performance, people started crying. Things went sour when he made a diss track in front of his classmate for his betrayal, leaving the audience shook while performing onstage. Lennox finished in November 2021 after having falling outs with other musicians at the course. The year 2022 became a tough year for him when his grandmother passed away in June 2022. After the funeral was over and people started leaving, Lennox and his mother continued getting into arguments. Vic ultimately left Taupo in December 22nd 2022, moving to Auckland to pursue his music career. He went to go and see Ice Cube and Cypress Hill perform at the Trust Arena, Henderson, making it his first time going to a concert. Lennox went to see Wu Tang and Nas perform at Spark Arena, looking to find inspiration as an artist. Vic Vega is still working onto becoming an artist to this day. Vic Vega started his acting career in 2022 where he filmed "The Experimental Theory: A Walk Into The Depths Of Lake City" on May 14th 2022 and follow-up short film "A Day N The Life". He continued doing films/TV shows in 2023 such as "Workmates", "State Of Remembrance" "The Queen, The Club, The Boy, The Girl & Everything In Between". Also, appeared as a cameo appearance in "Te Matatini Herenga Waka Herenga Tangata".
